Based at Flinders Medical Centre within the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network, this full-time role places you at the centre of a specialist Respiratory & Sleep Services team as both a personal assistant to the Head of Unit and a key support to the Network Administration Manager and wider admin team. You'll keep clinical operations moving by managing competing priorities, correspondence, scheduling, compliance-driven administration and occasional on-site clinic administration with confidence and care. It's a substantive opportunity for an experienced administrative professional to contribute meaningfully to patient care outcomes.
About the role:
Reporting to the Administration Manager, this role is responsible for providing administrative support to the Department of Respiratory Sleep Medicine & Ventilation and Outpatient Clinical services, Personal Assistant support to the Head of Unit and supports the Respiratory & Sleep Network Administration Manager with additional administration duties as required.
Duties for the role will include:
Daily coordination of Head of Unit Diary for all meetings and preparation of materials,
Diary bookings for Jack Alpers Seminar Room and Departmental Diary,
Providing assistance to HOU with general enquiries and special requests,
Coordinate, review and distribute all documents requiring signing including timesheets, leave forms, clinic cancellation forms and keep confidential records,
Coordination of multidisciplinary meetings and unit meetings,
Distribution of academic sessions, grand rounds and other emails requiring distribution in accordance with policy and procedure
About you:
Ability to work efficiently and effectively within a team environment,
Ability to demonstrate tact, courtesy and prudence when dealing with enquiries,
Highly developed communication skills to interact effectively with a variety of professional and nonprofessional people, including patients,
Ability to work under limited supervision and with a high degree of independence, determine priorities, perform well under pressure and forward plan,
Experience in an EA/PA administrative support role,
Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team,
Experience providing an effective and strong patient focus within a patient service environment
