Workshop Team Member – Large Format Print Operator

We are looking for a motivated, hands-on Workshop Team Member – Large Format Print Operator to join our growing team. About the Role
As part of our workshop team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality large-format graphics while supporting the fabrication and delivery of a wide range of signage and custom projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating and maintaining large-format digital printers, plotters, and associated production equipment.
- Preparing and setting up print jobs, ensuring colour accuracy, print quality, and efficient production.
- Loading and managing a variety of media, including vinyl, banner material, canvas, paper, and specialty substrates.
- Monitoring print production, troubleshooting equipment issues, and maintaining
- Performing routine maintenance, cleaning, and calibration of printing equipment.
- Completing finishing processes, including trimming, laminating, mounting, and preparing graphics for installation or dispatch.
- Quality checking finished products to ensure they meet customer specifications and Artcom's high standards.
- Assisting with the production of custom signage, displays, public artworks, and fabrication projects when required.
- Working closely with the design, production, and installation teams to ensure projects are delivered on time.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe workshop while following workplace health and safety procedures.
- Managing stock levels of print media, inks, laminates, and other production consumables.
About You
We are looking for someone who is reliable, proactive, and takes pride in producing exceptional work.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience operating large-format digital printing equipment.
- Strong knowledge of colour management, print production, and quality control.
- Experience with print finishing, including laminating, trimming, and mounting.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple jobs in a fast-paced workshop.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
- A practical, hands-on attitude with a willingness to assist across fabrication and production tasks.
- A current driver's licence.
- White Card (preferred).
- Forklift licence (desirable but not essential).
- Experience in signage, graphics, fabrication, or a related industry will be highly regarded.
