Position: Disability Female Support Worker – Balaclava VIC
Start Date: Immediate
We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and reliable Female Support Worker to provide personal care and daily living support to an adult male client who is in wheelchair. This role is ideal for someone who is caring, respectful, and passionate about supporting individuals to maintain their dignity, comfort, independence, and wellbeing.
Role Overview
Availability Required:
Monday to Sunday
Early Morning Shifts (5 to 6 hours a day)
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in personal care, disability support, or a similar care role.
- A caring, gentle, and person-centred approach with the ability to build trust and rapport.
- Strong communication, patience, and companionship skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance while maintaining the client's dignity, comfort, privacy, and choice at all times.
- Assist with showering, dressing, grooming, skin care, and other personal hygiene routines as required.
- Support the client with daily living activities and maintain a comfortable and respectful environment.
- Prepare meals according to the client's preferences and assist with light household duties.
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful, respectful conversations throughout the shift.
- Encourage the client's independence and support their individual preferences and choices.
- Maintain a safe, supportive, clean, and positive environment for the client.
- Respond to the client's changing care needs with patience, empathy, and flexibility.

The client appreciates a friendly, patient, and respectful approach. The ideal Support Worker will be gentle, attentive, reliable, and able to provide appropriate personal care while encouraging the client's dignity, independence, and individual choices.
