Position Overview:
A Dispatch & Valve Technician at Ultramax Systems, you will be an integral part of our operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods and maintaining high standards of production. This role involves a combination of warehouse tasks and valve testing and production responsibilities, offering a diverse and engaging work experience.
The position requires someone who is self-managed and can work autonomously under remote-management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Valve Technician
- Assembly, testing and certification of pressure relief valves.
- In-house training provided.
- Adhering to strict quality management systems and third party audits.
- Inventory Management:
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials and products.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock checks.
- Local purchasing for standard stock items.
- Order Fulfilment:
- Pick, pack, and ship orders accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely deliveries.
- Counter-sales.
- Trade Sales:
- Assistance to our internal sales team.
- Phone answering.
- Trade counter sales.
- Quality Assurance:
- Conduct quality checks on incoming materials and finished products.
- Report and address any defects or deviations from quality standards.
- Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or concerns.
- Maintaining a clean and tidy work area.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and staff located in branches across Australia, including logistics, quality control, and production, to achieve common goals.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Skills and experience:
- Highschool diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in warehouse and/or production roles is preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heave objects.
- Forklift licence is preferred.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in tasks.
- Basic understanding of inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
- Strong organisational and multi-tasking skills.
- Autonomous and self-managed.
