Retail Shop Assistant
About the Role
Smart Bargains is looking for friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Retail Shop Assistants to join our team at Westfield Warringah Mall.
This is an ongoing position with Full-Time, Part-Time and Casual opportunities available. You will be working in a busy retail environment and helping customers while supporting the day-to-day operation of the store.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service
- Assist customers with product enquiries and finding products
- Operate the POS system and process cash and electronic payments
- Replenish stock and maintain well-presented shelves and displays
- Receive, unpack, price and organise new stock
- Assist with stocktaking and inventory organisation
- Maintain a clean, tidy and organised store
- Set up and maintain promotional and seasonal displays
- Assist with opening and closing duties when required
- Follow store procedures and maintain a safe shopping environment
- Work cooperatively with other team members to achieve daily store goals
- Assist during busy periods, including weekends, school holidays and seasonal periods such as Halloween and Christmas
About You

- Well presented with good communication skills
- A team player who is willing to help wherever needed
- Able to follow instructions and work independently when required
- Flexible with working hours, including weekends and busy periods
- Retail experience is preferred but not essential – training will be provided
