This is an exciting opportunity to join the State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) Digital team and contribute to digital initiatives that improve services and experiences for users through accessible, user-centered designs.
As a Senior UI/UX Designer, you will lead the design of intuitive and accessible digital experiences for high priority initiatives, turning user needs and business requirements into practical design solutions.
What the role will be doing

Lead end-to-end UI/UX design across discovery, framing, iterative design and delivery.

Work with stakeholders to understand business needs, user needs and service goals, and translate them into clear design solutions.

Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs that improve the overall user experience.

Plan and support user research, testing and evaluation activities, and use insights and data to inform design decisions and continuous improvement.

Apply and promote best practice design standards, accessibility requirements and reusable design patterns to ensure consistency and quality.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance customer needs, technical constraints and delivery priorities in a fast-paced environment.
What we are looking for
We’re looking for a senior designer with strong UI/UX capability, a customer-centred mindset and the ability to work across complex, high priority initiatives.
You will be confident working with stakeholders at all levels, turning insights and requirements into practical design solutions, and contributing to better outcomes for users and the organisation.
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:

Experience in product design or UI/UX design, including designing end-to-end digital experiences.

Strong skills in user-centred design, including discovery, user research, interaction design, prototyping and usability testing.

Experience working collaboratively with delivery teams in an agile environment, delivering practical design outcomes.

Sound understanding of accessibility, inclusive design and best practice digital design standards.

Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to explain design decisions clearly.
