About the Opportunity
Join our Security team at Gosford Hospital and play a vital role in maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff across one of the Central Coast's largest healthcare facilities.
In this role you will:
- Provide a prompt and professional security response to incidents, emergencies and requests for assistance across the hospital campus and satellite sites.
- Monitor and control access to hospital buildings and grounds, ensuring compliance with security policies and procedures.
- Respond to aggressive or challenging behaviours, supporting staff, patients and visitors using established safety protocols and conflict resolution techniques.
- Conduct routine patrols, alarm testing and security equipment checks to help protect people, property and assets.
- Complete incident reports, daily logs and other administrative documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with clinical teams, facility managers and emergency services to support a safe and secure healthcare environment.

About You
We are seeking a reliable and professional security officer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, remains calm under pressure, and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service while helping to maintain a safe and secure healthcare setting.
We are looking for someone who has:
- A current NSW Class 1A Security Licence, First Aid Certificate and valid Australian Driver Licence.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to confidently interact with patients, visitors, staff and emergency services personnel from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated experience in security operations, including access control, alarm monitoring and incident response.
- Proven conflict resolution, negotiation and de-escalation skills, with the ability to respond effectively to challenging situations in a professional manner.
- Sound computer literacy and the ability to accurately complete reports, maintain records and communicate relevant information.
- A commitment to teamwork, customer service and the NSW Health values of respect, collaboration, accountability and patient-centred care.
