We are looking for a Maintenance Officer for a casual position who loves variety and thrives on keeping things running smoothly. If you're handy with a paintbrush, know your way around basic plumbing, and enjoy getting outdoors for a bit of gardening, this could be you!
- Performing a wide range of general maintenance tasks as needed and you will be encouraged to identify opportunities for maintenance enhancements and act proactively.

Complete scheduled preventative maintenance and respond promptly to urgent issues.

Overseeing work undertaken by external contractors, ensuring all activities meet the highest standards for safety and quality and in line with expectations.

Maintaining accurate records of maintenance work with strict adherence to hospital policies and procedures.

You’ll also support procurement efforts and recommend equipment replacement when needed, contributing to ongoing facility improvements.

Compliance with Australian Standards and Work Health & Safety regulations is vital.

Solid background in general maintenance (patching, plumbing, painting, etc.)

Experience supervising contractors

Sound understanding of Australian building and hospital maintenance standards

Competence with computers and digital systems reporting

Ability to remain calm and effective when faced with unexpected maintenance challenges

Strong organisational and time-management skills

Qualified in a trade, such as carpentry, electrical, or plumbing

Has worked before in a hospital or healthcare environment

Has experience supervising contractors

Holds a current driver’s licence with no restrictions
