Kingship Coffee is a premium all-day dining café in Mascot, open seven days a week from 6:30am to 11:30pm. We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner alongside specialty coffee, desserts and beverages.
Since launching in June 2024 we have built one of the strongest Google reputations of any café in the country, 4.9 stars from more than 3,700 verified reviews, in under two years.
We are part of WELNARA, a hospitality group with plans to expand into multiple venues over the coming years.
About the role
As Café Manager you will hold full operational leadership of the venue: the team, the guest experience, compliance and the commercial result. You will work directly with our Chief Operating Officer and Directors.
Day to day you will:
● Lead, recruit, train and mentor the front of house and kitchen teams
● Deliver exceptional guest experiences across every daypart
● Own the numbers, including the P&L, budgets, labour cost, cost of goods and stock
● Run daily operations from open to close, including purchasing and suppliers
● Maintain Food Safety and Work Health and Safety compliance
● Protect and grow our Google reputation through genuine service
● Drive customer satisfaction and protect our online reputation
● Monitor KPI and identify opportunities to improve sales, productivity and profitability
What you will bring
● Four to six years' management experience in a comparable café, restaurant or premium hospitality venue
● Proven leadership, including recruitment, training and performance management
● Confidence with financials, including reading a P&L, preparing and reviewing budgets and controlling costs
● Excellent communication and organisational skills
● Australian working rights
● A genuine passion for hospitality and for guest experience
Highly regarded
● A degree or formal qualification in hospitality management or a related discipline
● Food Safety Supervisor Certificate and RSA
● Experience in an all-day or multi-daypart venue
