About APG Software
This is not a corporate job. APG is a small team at the start of something big, and you would be one of the first people in. We build AI systems for construction, manufacturing and home services businesses: we audit how a business really runs, put a dollar figure on the hours it loses to quoting, claims and double entry, then build AI inside the tools it already uses. Because we run on AI ourselves, a handful of us out-deliver firms many times our size.
Expect startup pace, not corporate process. Priorities move quickly, the tools change weekly, and you will wear more than one hat. In return you get what corporate can never give you: real ownership from day one, whole client engagements that are yours, direct access to the founder, and zero layers between you and the work.
What you'll do
- Run discovery with business owners and map how their operation actually works
- Diagnose and quantify the waste, then present clear findings and a roadmap
- Build the fix with AI: Claude, custom skills and plugins, automated workflows
- Own the client relationship, including on-site delivery across Sydney
What we need (the three skill sets)
1. Consultative discovery: you can interview a business and map its processes (consulting, BA, implementation or account management background)
2. Industry software fluency: hands-on with tools like Xero, QuickBooks, Simpro, ServiceM8, Microsoft Business Central or Odoo
3. Claude power-user: genuine current fluency with the Claude desktop app, scheduled workflows, artifacts, and building skills and plugins. You stay up to date because you love this space.

Compensation and ramp
On-site with the founder first, co-running real engagements, then owning engagements independently. One month probation, then base plus commission on the client book you run. Expect $130k to $160k all-in depending on experience, uncapped.
