About the role
The Cleaning Warehouse is seeking an experienced Office Manager to join our team in Mitchell, ACT. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office facilities and administrative functions. As Office Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day office operations, managing administrative staff, and implementing systems that support the efficiency and productivity of the entire organization. This role is integral to maintaining a professional, organized workplace that enables our team to deliver exceptional service to our customers.
Key responsibilities
- Overseeing and coordinating all daily office operations, including facilities management, maintenance, and vendor relations
- Managing and supervising administrative and support staff, providing direction, training, and performance feedback
- Implementing and maintaining office systems, processes, and procedures to maximize efficiency and productivity
- Managing office budgets, procurement, and expenditure to ensure cost-effectiveness
- Coordinating office supplies inventory, equipment maintenance, and technology support
- Organising and scheduling meetings, events, and facilities usage
- Handling correspondence, filing systems, and document management
- Supporting human resources functions including recruitment assistance, onboarding, and employee relations
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
- Acting as the primary point of contact for office-related enquiries and issues
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in an office management or similar administrative role within a commercial or industrial environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with office management software systems
- Experience in budget management, procurement, and vendor management
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience supervising and managing administrative teams
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and office compliance requirements
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced working environment
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation
- A relevant qualification in business administration, office management, or a related field would be advantageous
