Job Description
Undertake painting of interior and exterior of structures, buildings and other surfaces. Capability and knowledge to undertake work duties as outlined in the scope of works, specifications and drawings provided. Ability to paint using various tools and in various heights and spaces while observing all safety measures. Possess great attention to detail in completing their duties and delivering high-quality workmanship.
Ability to apply various finishes to buildings, rooms, or other structures, including primers and sealers. Responsible for preparing the job site, maintain a clean worksite and leave the site in a clean and tidy condition.
Daily tasks include
- Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc.
- Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. putty, plaster).
- Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture.
- Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools.
- Apply varnish and other finishes.
- Adhere to all workplace health and safety policies, procedures and regulations.
Requirements:
- Certificate III in Painting and Decorating – minimum level required.
- At least 2 years of work experience as a Painter or closely related occupation.
- Conscientious with great attention to detail.
- Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns, rollers, spray gun, etc.).
Annual salary: $79,499 + superannuation (40 proposed hours of work per week)
Pay: $79,499.00 per year
