About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Disability Support Worker to join our growing team in North Melbourne. This is a casual position offering flexible hours, ideal for someone who is passionate about making a genuine difference in people's lives.
As part of the Exaudy Care family, you will provide high-quality, person-centered support to clients with diverse needs. Whether it’s assisting with daily tasks or facilitating social connections, your role will be instrumental in helping our clients achieve their personal goals and maintain their independence.
What You'll Be Doing
- Personalised Support: Assisting clients with personal care routines (bathing, grooming, and dressing) with dignity and respect.
- Household Assistance: Supporting clients with domestic duties including meal preparation, light cleaning, and laundry to ensure a safe and comfortable home environment.
- Community Engagement: Facilitating outings and social activities that promote wellbeing, community inclusion, and independence.
- Documentation & Communication: Accurately documenting client progress, observations, and any changes in needs, while maintaining effective communication with the broader Exaudy Care team and families.
- Advocacy & Safety: Upholding the rights of our clients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and choice are always prioritised.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar disability support role.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with clients from all backgrounds.
- Licensing: Full Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable access to your own vehicle (with comprehensive insurance).
- Attitude: A genuine passion for supporting individuals with diverse needs; a proactive, can-do attitude.
- Qualifications: Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability/Aged Care) or equivalent is highly regarded.
- Certifications: Current First Aid Certificate (including CPR) and a valid NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays, and active nights if required.
