What we're looking for
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
Honesty, integrity and respect for all patients, carers and staff. Demonstrates excellent communication skills to facilitate service provision and development within legal frameworks.
Base knowledge, expertise and skills in contemporary clinical pharmacy practice and knowledge of hospital pharmacy service delivery and medication management, including medicines knowledge, therapeutic uses, and medicines scheduling. Understanding of the requirements for the storage and handling of pharmaceuticals.
Ability to apply effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills when communicating with clients/carers and other service providers to facilitate effective service provision.
Ability to proactively contribute to team objectives within the pharmacy as well as the broader multidisciplinary team.
Ability to work to a high standard, while under direct supervision and within scope of legal authorities, and, demonstrated skills in self-organisation and initiative to enable the timely completion of a variety of tasks allowing efficient service function.
Mandatory Requirements
Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
Appointment to this position requires proof of enrolment in a recognised tertiary-level program that results in a Pharmacist qualification. Pharmacist student trainees may be at any year level of their university course.
