As a Lead, your key responsibilities include:

Drive the upskilling of People, Culture and Safety team in their knowledge of the Fair Work Act 2009, and the application of the Victorian TAFE Teaching Staff Agreement 2024 (2024 Agreement), the Victorian TAFE PACCT Staff Agreement 2025 (2025 Agreement) and the Educational Servies (Post-Secondary Education) Award 2020 (the Award). Increase knowledge amongst Chisholm leadership to support consistent implementation of the 2024 Agreement, the 2025 Agreement and the Award, and related policy and procedure.

Drive a culture of cross-function collaboration, sharing and support across People, Culture and Safety and within the team.

Conduct audits, reviews, and assurance programs across the application of Chisholm’s Agreements, Awards and related requirements to facilitate compliance and consistency of application and interpretation in accordance with Chisholm’s position.

Manage high risk end-to-end investigations, assessments or reviews related to employee case matters in accordance with Chisholm’s policies and within a person centred and trauma informed professional practice model.

Stay abreast of employee and workplace relations legislation, regulation, policies and strategies deployed by agencies, other educational institutions and industry to ensure continuous improvement and innovation to the Chisholm approach.

Contribute to tender and bid processes to drive business growth as required.

Facilitate training sessions for people leaders and the PCS team to build capability and understanding of Agreements, Awards, legislation, regulation and related policies.
ABOUT YOU
You are a highly motivated individual with well-developed skills and substantial experience in the interpretation, analysis and implementation of Enterprise Agreements and Awards, experience in employee case management and supporting workplace investigations, and knowledge of relevant employment legislation and industrial documents, including Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and you are able to explain complex Enterprise Agreements/Awards regulation, legislation and policy to people leaders, the ability to maintain confidentiality, excellent written skills and the capacity to apply these skills to employee case management and written advice.
Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders and provide timely and accurate advice to these varying stakeholders, an eye for detail, well organised and a detailed thinker and strong computer skills.
You must have a tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law, or Employee/Workplace Relations.
