The Impact You'll Make
As our Finance Manager, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of our organisation. Your work will directly support our ability to deliver exceptional care to residents, invest in our facilities, and provide programs that enrich lives. You won’t just be balancing numbers—you’ll be helping us make every dollar count for the people who matter most.
What You'll Do
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts receivable and back-up to accounts payable and payroll functions
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the Board and senior leadership.
- Complete the budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure resources are allocated effectively.
- Maintain and update the Fixed Asset register with Additions and Disposals
- Prepare the monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Finalise the end of month Medicare claim and reconciliation
- Complete the Month End reporting reports and Management pack for review by the Board of Management
- Ensure compliance with aged care funding requirements, government reporting, and relevant legislation.
- Partner with department managers to provide financial insights that support decision-making.
- Liaise with auditors, banks, and external stakeholders to maintain strong financial governance.
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with CPA/CA qualification
- Proven experience in financial management—experience in aged care, healthcare, or not-for-profit sectors highly regarded and preferred.
- Experience and skills in Power BI highly regarded but not essential
- Strong knowledge of accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
