Business Support Officer

- 2 x Ongoing Full-Time employment
- Parramatta, NSW (hybrid working arrangement). 6 days per fortnight working from the office, 4 days per fortnight working from home
- Salary ranges from $116,981 to $129,492 p.a. plus superannuation and annual leave loading
About the role
The role provides advice, services and support to the directorate. The role develops change management strategies and engages with key stakeholders. The role also supports the development, implementation and delivery of directorate wide administration processes.
Key accountabilities
- Monitor and review systems, data and stakeholder feedback to improve business support and service delivery.
- Provide expert advice and support to staff across the directorate.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to achieve directorate priorities.
- Develop and improve procedures, reports and guidance in line with legislation and business changes.
- Manage communication, reporting and workflow tools to keep staff informed, support decision-making and encourage effective use of new technology.

About you
- Demonstrated experience in HR administration, with strong knowledge of recruitment processes, SAP and SuccessFactors, and the ability to provide accurate advice on HR policies and procedures.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, maintain a high level of accuracy, and deliver quality outcomes in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build effective relationships, respond to sensitive enquiries, and provide guidance and support to team members.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements of the role
- Current and valid Working with Children Check Clearance for paid employment.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
