UnitingSA is seeking passionate Casual Leisure and Lifestyle Officers to join our dedicated team in a dynamic roving role. With five Residential Aged Care Facilities located at West Lakes, Seaton, Hawksbury Gardens (Salisbury North), Westminster Village (Grange), and Wesley House (Semaphore Park), UnitingSA offers more than care; we provide a true home for our residents. As part of this roving role, you’ll make a meaningful impact across these communities, helping residents stay engaged, connected, and supported in the places they call home.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll be:
- Planning and developing personalised leisure activities that reflect residents' preferences and needs.
- Providing guidance to residents and their families, ensuring the best possible support for their lifestyle choices.
- Ensuring a varied and inclusive program that accommodates all levels of ability and encourages participation.
- Promoting social and physical engagement, helping residents maintain optimal function and independence.
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to ongoing quality improvements and staff development.

What You Bring to the Role
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Certificate IV in Aging Support or equivalent qualification (Certificate IV in Leisure and Health) – essential.
- Extensive experience in a Lifestyle or Diversional Therapy role, particularly within aged care.
- A sound understanding of the needs and preferences of elderly residents, including cognitive decline and physical disabilities.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A current SA Driver’s Licence and DHS NDIS Worker Screening Check – essential.
