We are looking for an experienced and motivated Production Specialist to join our growing production team.
This is a hands-on role based across our print production and warehouse operations, ideal for someone who enjoys working with machinery, takes pride in producing high-quality products and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
About the Role
As a Production Specialist, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring printing and finishing equipment, ensuring products are produced to the required quality, accuracy and production targets.
You will also support warehouse operations including picking, packing, stock handling and dispatch when required.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in offset printing, DTF/DTG printing or a similar print production environment. Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
Print Production & Manufacturing
- Operate and monitor print production equipment to ensure consistent output and quality.
- Interpret production specifications and work orders.
- Configure machinery to meet production requirements.
- Perform machine adjustments and assist with troubleshooting.
- Change ink cartridges, paper and machine components during setup.
- Monitor production quality and carry out quality control checks throughout the production process.
- Assemble and finish printed products accurately and to company standards.
- Meet daily production targets while maintaining quality and minimising waste.
- Record production output and maintain accurate production documentation and trackers.
- Perform preventative maintenance and assist with ongoing equipment maintenance.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe production environment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across production processes.
- Maintain current product and production knowledge.
Warehouse & Dispatch
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders according to daily dispatch schedules.
- Receive, unpack and organise incoming stock.
- Update stock levels and assist with inventory management.
- Load and unload trucks and containers when required.
- Replenish and organise warehouse stock and maintain appropriate stock rotation.
- Assist with stocktakes and inventory audits.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and safe warehouse environment.
- Provide warehouse support during busy production and dispatch periods.
General Responsibilities
- Work safely and follow all company WHS policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding production progress, issues or delays.
- Complete required production, dispatch and inventory checklists, reports and records.
- Be punctual, reliable and ready to work during scheduled hours.
- Respond positively to training and feedback.
- Work collaboratively and maintain a professional and respectful attitude.
- Undertake other reasonable duties as directed by the Operations Manager or Directors.
About You
We are looking for someone who is reliable, hands-on and quality-focused, with the ability to work efficiently in a busy production environment.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in print production, particularly offset, DTF/DTG or similar printing.
- Experience operating production machinery.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- The ability to work quickly and accurately while meeting production targets.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to complete production records.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A willingness to learn and respond positively to training and feedback.
- The physical ability to lift and move boxes, stock and equipment as required.
- Ability to operate a walk-behind forklift is desirable.
