About the role
The IT Support Officer is responsible for assisting the IT Specialist in ensuring that the computer network at GEO Healthcare Head Office and all various site users, including all hardware, software, and necessary programs are working correctly and are accessible to all head office users, as required.
This position will be located at GEO Healthcare Head Office in Melbourne, Victoria. The position may be expected to travel to all GEO Healthcare locations and The GEO Group Australia Pty Ltd Head Office as required.
Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Demonstrated experience administering and working with Windows Server environments, including Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange.
- Demonstrated experience administering Local Area Networks, including virtual Lan (VLAN) and Virtual Private Network (VPN).
- Sound understanding of computer, network and data security principles.
- Ability to develop an understanding of Information Security Manual (ISM) standards and procedures.
- Demonstrated customer support experience, including use of Help Desk applications.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage diverging priorities in a dynamic work environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 Operating System and Office 365 products
Desirable:
- Completion or Studying towards a relevant tertiary qualification in information technology or similar
- Experience with AS400 systems, Microsoft SQL, Internet Information Services (IIS), SharePoint).
- Experience with biometric identification technologies.
- Knowledge of, or experience with virtualisation technologies.
- Experience with IT Project activity.
Other Requirements of the role:
- Ability to work within a correctional setting, which may involve direct contact with prisoners associated with the delivery of healthcare.
- Valid and current full Australian driver’s licence.
- Satisfactory completion of a National Criminal History Check.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Working outside of ordinary business hours may be required on occasion.
