About Prosper Care and Support
Prosper Care and Support is a registered NDIS provider delivering warm, person-centred support across Melbourne. We're expanding into the south-east and looking for experienced casual Disability Support Workers around Frankston and Langwarrin.
About the role
You'll provide regular, one-to-one support to a participant with high physical support needs, helping them live well at home and stay active in their community. This is a hands-on personal-care role for a confident, experienced worker.
What you'll do
- Personal care, hygiene and continence support
- Safe manual handling and transfers using a transfer aid (e.g. Sara Stedy)
- Supporting a physiotherapist-prescribed exercise and mobility routine
- Community access, volunteering and daily-living/cooking skills
- Encouraging independence with warmth and dignity
- Attentive, supportive communication and monitoring of wellbeing
- Accurate shift notes
What we're looking for
- Experienced, confident and reliable - someone a participant can count on week to week
- Strong manual-handling and transfer skills (transfer-aid experience highly regarded)
- Comfortable with personal and continence care
- Warm, encouraging and mental-health aware
- Happy to follow a set exercise/therapy program
Requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
- Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Valid driver's licence and your own reliable, insured vehicle
- Right to work in Australia
- Certificate III in Individual Support/Disability (desirable)
