Investment Manager (Superannuation / Asset Management)

We have been engaged by one of the most impressive and stable Super Funds, as they look to appoint an Investment Manager to lead the oversight of a diversified portfolio within a collaborative environment, dedicated to delivering better retirement outcomes for Victorian members. What you’ll experience:
- Autonomy to manage and review asset classes, with direct input into the fund’s long-term strategic positioning
- Exposure to senior stakeholders, including the CIO and fund governance committees
- Hands-on leadership of key projects, including fund manager selection and implementation of policies
- Operational responsibility for governance, reporting, and compliance in a high-volume environment
- Contribute to a mission-driven organisation with a clear focus on member impact
- Work in Melbourne’s CBD within a supportive yet ambitious team
Key responsibilities:
- Monitor and optimise asset allocation to meet the fund’s long-term objectives
- Lead fund manager performance reviews and due diligence processes
- Prepare reports and investment papers for the Board and Committees
- Support development and implementation of ESG and responsible investing strategies
- Oversee investment governance, compliance, and policy reviews
- Investigate new asset opportunities and fund managers, providing recommendations
- Lead or support key projects to enhance the fund’s strategic positioning
What we’re looking for:
- Significant experience in finance or investments, primarily within superannuation or asset management
- Tertiary qualifications in finance, economics, or related fields; CFA or Master’s preferred
- Proven ability to lead investment projects and stakeholder communications
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of multi-asset portfolios
- Experience in economic and financial systems within Australia and abroad
