About the role
In this Medical Imaging Assistant role, you will have varied clinical and administrative responsibilities, allowing for a wide range of duties to keep you busy.
With on-the-job training provided, your main responsibility will be to complete necessary work ups of our EOS scans to ensure timely reporting for our Radiologists. You will also be responsible for patient care prior to, during and after the procedure, assisting in our CT department when there is a need. Further duties include:

Confirming patient appointments & any pre-appointment instructions via telephone

Retrieving outside imaging studies

Preparing patients for procedures

Assisting with the positioning of patients during procedures

Assisting the technical staff member during clinical procedures, including cannulating patients

Stock control

Cleaning and housekeeping duties

Due to the nature of the role, ATAR Human Biology, or a science-based qualification is a minimum requirement due to the workups.
Please note that the successful candidate is required to provide evidence of vaccination/immunity/screening to a list of vaccine-preventable diseases prior to commencement of employment.
This is a Casual position.
Availability is required for both day time and evening work dependent on the rostering needs of the branch.
