My client is a specialty manufacturer in the plastics space, part of a large National organisation. This stable business services many household brands across the globe. Due to a promotion, they are looking to add a Production Supervisor to oversee the afternoon shift in Blacktown. This is a temp to perm opportunity for someone with a positive and "hands on" attitude who wants to be part of a great team.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

People Leadership and Workforce Planning
-
Inspecting finished goods to ensure quality standards are met
-
Safe and efficient production of packaging
-
Operation of Stretch hood machine.

Continuous Improvements and Operational Excellence
-
General Cleaning/ Housekeeping as required
-
Safety and Quality
-
Other General Duties as instructed by the Management

Coordinating fast paced production lines
You will ideally have 2-3 years experience in a similar role in production & supervising. Other experience you need will include:
-
Commitment to safety and quality
-
Experience in production or packing lines
-
Positive approach to working in a team and able to work independently
-
Good attendance history.
-
Experience with Lean Manufacturing concepts and 5S would be an advantage
-
Forklift license would be an advantage
-
Must have work right entitlements.
The role is to start ASAP to get a handover from the incumbent.
