What's the role?
You will provide Health, Safety and Security support and advice to business leaders and support the ongoing delivery of national health and safety. This role will also see you embedding national Health, Safety and Security practices aligned to our safety mission and overall strategy - keeping people safe, promoting health and wellbeing and adding value.
Reporting into the HSS Manager for publishing operations, this position is based at our Sydney Print Centre with a tie in to our Holt Street corporate site and the broader HSS team.
In this role you will:
Provide specialist advice on matters including: risk management in a manufacturing environment including manual handling and plant related risk.
Provide quality, trusted and consistent Health, Safety and Security advice to site Leaders.
Advise and support site leaders on HSS performance with regular reporting and insights.
Undertake HSS risk management activities including providing advice and coaching on hazard identification, risk assessments and elimination or control strategies
Actively monitor compliance and controls, and participate in verification, assurance, inspection and review activities as required.
Actively manage and review injury claims including status updates and estimates with our insurer and injury management provider.
Coach and support employees in the use of our electronic HSS management software when completing hazards, inspection, incident reporting, and action management.
Who are you?
Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.
Demonstrated experience in safety risk management within production, operations, manufacturing, and multi-tenanted building environments.
You are able to work as part of a team and to make a difference.
Outstanding listening skills, patience and ability to influence whilst remaining empathetic.
You will have demonstrated health and safety experience in a similar role.
A natural collaborator and a true WHS business partner.
Ability to work from multiple locations and the flexibility to travel interstate when required.
