Position Overview
A licenced methyl bromide fumigator is an advantage but not essential as training can be provided. As a licenced methyl bromide fumigator, you must show and demonstrate your understanding of the fumigation methodology regarding the relevant treatment schedule that ensures its compliance. Other responsibilities will be assisting with a variety of manual handling tasks on-site, including physical tasks, maintenance, and general support duties. This role is suitable for individuals with a strong work ethic, healthy, in good shape and with the ability to follow instructions, and the willingness to work as part of a team and unsupervised. This position is located within either Brisbane Queensland area and also the Morwell Victoria area.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
· Licenced Methyl Bromide Fumigator or willing to be trained and obtain licence.
· Performing manual handling, physical tasks, and general labour as required.
· Loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment.
· Assisting technicians and supervisors with tasks as directed.
· Maintaining cleanliness and order on the worksite.
· Operating basic hand and power tools.
· Adhering to workplace health and safety standards and procedures.
Key Skills and Requirements
· Licenced Methyl bromide Fumigator is an advantage but not essential as training can be provided.
· Physical fitness and stamina for manual labour.
· Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team and unsupervised.
· Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
· Basic understanding of safety practices on work sites.
· Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage but not essential.
· Forklift licence.
· Valid driver’s licence with the ability to travel to site locations.
Working Conditions
The work is outdoors and may be exposed to varied weather conditions. The role may involve early starts, overtime, and shift work depending on project needs. Safety equipment and training are provided, and the adherence to safety protocols is mandatory.
