King Demolition is a family-owned business operating in the Sydney area, providing demolition and earthworks-related services across New South Wales.
We are seeking a full time Welder who will be able to work independently or as a part of a team, reliable and will be rewarded with a great salary also a friendly and supportive work environment.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Reading engineering drawings and specifications to determine job, material and equipment requirements
- Selecting metal stock, such as steel, iron, mild steel and checking sizes, gauges and other dimensions of metal stock against specifications according to the drawings
- Prepare steel components for fabrication, weld preparation, grinding and sanding
- Shaping, fitting and assembling pre-fabricated components into final products by welding, riveting, soldering, brazing and otherwise joining
- Assembling and welding steel components
- Drilling and making holes need to the drawing.
- Finishing products by polishing, filing, sanding and cleaning assembled products as required
- Cleaning the area and marking out metal stock with reference points and lines, using templates, gauges and other measuring instruments, leaving everything ready for painting
- Repairing damaged sheet metal products and components and reporting low inventory levels to supervisors to facilitate the re-order of raw materials
- Carrying out cleaning and maintenance duties on equipment as directed by supervisors
- Transferring his skills to other staff as directed by supervisors.
Requirements/Skills Qualification:
- At least 3 years of relevant experience
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Able to understand basic calculations
- Ability to undertake manual work
- Ability to use tools and machinery
- Attention to detail and accuracy
