We are seeking an experienced solicitor with a minimum of 1 year PAE to join our team. This role is ideal for a lawyer looking to further develop their practice in a supportive, professional and hands-on environment.
Experience in Family Law or Criminal Law is highly regarded. However, candidates with experience gained in a general practice or boutique law firm environment will also be considered. You must hold a current Australian practicing certificate.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with managing legal files under supervision
- Draft legal documents, correspondence and court materials
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal summaries
- Communicate with clients and provide regular updates regarding their matters
- Attend court, mediations and meetings as required
- Assist with the preparation and conduct of Family Law and/or Criminal Law matters
- Work collaboratively with solicitors and other members of the team
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year Post-Admission Experience (PAE) in Australia
- Experience in Family Law or Criminal Law preferred
- Experience within a general practice or boutique law firm will also be considered
- Hold a current Australian practising certificate
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team
- Professional, client-focused and commercially minded approach
- A genuine interest in developing a career in Family Law and/or Criminal Law

Pay: $110,000.00 – $160,000.00 per year
