The Role
The Family Intervention Program supports families who are subject to statutory intervention to meet the goals of their case plan. Through a structured process and evidence-based interventions the Family Intervention Program provides intensive support that allows families to demonstrate they are willing and able to meet the care and safety needs of their children.
The Families and Young People Services Team has a Permanent Full-time vacancy for a Team Manager to join the Mercy Community Family Intervention Program who will be responsible for delivering a consistently high-quality service across the Toowoomba/Warwick region. The Team Manager is responsible for the coordination of the program and working closely with a team of qualified practitioners to ensure high quality service provision with children, families and other stakeholders.

To be eligible for this position you will require (Key Selection Criteria):
- Relevant tertiary qualifications Social Work, Social Science, Psychology or related discipline and significant practice experience for a role of this nature.
- Track record in providing leadership in supporting staff working with clients with multiple and complex needs and in program coordination.
- Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of the Queensland child protection system.
- Evidence of current vaccination against whooping cough or willingness to obtain prior to commencement, unless applicable of exemption is provided.
- You must hold a current Queensland Provisional Green or above Driver’s License
- You must hold a positive notice in the Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and be able to obtain a positive Police Check and any other legislatively required personal history screening as required.
