Female Disability Support Worker – Alphington VIC

Nextt is seeking a passionate
FEMALE Disability Support Worker to support a lovely client in
Alphington, Victoria, who has had a stroke and requires assistance with personal care, mobility support and daily living tasks.
About the Role
You will support the client up to two days per week, with the option to provide backup support for other shifts when available.
This is a rewarding role for someone who is caring, respectful and confident with personal care. Due to the client’s personal care needs and preferences, this role has a genuine requirement for a female support worker.
Regular shifts:
- Monday: 9:00am – 3:00pm
- Thursday: 9:00am – 3:30pm
Your duties may include:
- Assisting with showering and personal grooming in the morning
- Providing bowel care support, including enema support one day per week
- Mobility support and safe assistance around the home
- Light cleaning in areas the client cannot easily reach
- Driving the client’s modified van for appointments and community access
- Supporting social outings and activities, including singing and trivia
- Building a respectful, positive and professional relationship
Training will be provided with another member of the client’s existing support team, so you will be supported as you settle into the role.
Pay Rates
E3.1 (Casual in home and SIL)
SCHADS Award E3.1 Casual Rates (before tax):
- Base hourly rate: $35.15
- Afternoon shift (shift ends between 8pm and midnight, Monday to Friday): $38.67
- Active Night shift (Finishes after midnight or starts before 6am, Monday to Friday) $39.37
- Saturday: $49.21
- Sunday: $63.27
- Public holiday: $77.33
