Who we are
We’re a bold team with a bright future; and we’re looking for people who want to be part of it.
Evolution Mining is a premier global gold company operating six mines across Australia and Canada. We’re transforming mines and uplifting careers. We’ve extended the mine life of our Ernest Henry Operations to 2040 and doubled its ore reserves. We took our Cowal Gold Operations underground in just seven years. We’re transforming our Red Lake Operations, restoring it as a premier Canadian gold mine. That kind of ambition creates careers, not just jobs.
When we asked our people what they enjoy most about working at Evolution, two things came up across every site: career growth and the quality of the people. Here, you’ll work alongside people who care, who push one another to be better, with leaders who are there to support you.
What’s the opportunity?
We’ve boldly reimagined our future at Mungari. We’re growing and investing in what’s ahead. There’s now an opportunity for an Underground Shift Supervisor who wants to grow with us and lead crews in an operation that’s building momentum. This role is for a strong underground leader who wants to help shape how underground mining runs at Mungari.
Based at our Mungari Operations and reporting to the Underground Superintendent, you’ll:
- Leading and supervising underground crews to safely achieve production targets across development activities
- Planning and executing the 24-hour operational plan, adjusting in real time to keep things moving
- Monitoring performance, identifying delays, and driving practical solutions to keep production on track
- Setting the standard on safety where you will be running pre-starts, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with all requirements
- Owning shift reporting, including production results, delays, and incident management
- Leading small crews day-to-day, allocating work, holding people accountable, and lifting standards
- Coaching and developing your team to strengthen capability and build a high-performing crew
- Challenging behaviours and influencing positive change in culture, attitude, and performance across the shift
Why Mungari Operations?
Mungari is a cornerstone asset in our portfolio, with a mine life to at least 2038. It’s operationally diverse, with opportunities to work on the surface or underground and a great team of people who care. Our recent expansion of the processing plant has more than doubled processing capacity from 2 million to 4.2 million tonnes per year. With open pit and processing all on one site, the operational diversity is ideal for uplifting careers.
What suits your lifestyle best? We offer drive-in, drive-out (DIDO) and fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) rosters at Mungari. You choose. Live local in the world-class mining community and enjoy our competitive live-local incentives and allowances. Or choose FIFO and enjoy the camaraderie and benefits that village life offers.
The future here is bright; you could be part of it.

You hold yourself and others accountable, call things out when needed, and actively work to lift standards and culture.
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
