- This role attracts a fixed allowance that ensures a minimum salary equivalent to AHA2 (third increment) pro-rated, based on the Undertaking as within the Allied Health Professionals, Assistants and Psychologists Enterprise Agreement 2025.

What You'll Be Doing
Based across the Adelaide Metro Northern region, you'll work alongside a skilled multidisciplinary allied health team to deliver high-quality, community-focused palliative care. Your day-to-day will include:
- Providing direct client support under the supervision of qualified allied health professionals across therapy programs
- Assisting with the delivery of group and individual sessions in primary health care settings
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and contributing to care coordination activities
- Supporting clients across a range of needs, helping them achieve their functional and independence goals
What You'll Bring
- A Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (or working towards it), or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience supporting allied health professionals in a community, primary care, or hospital outpatient setting
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Sound understanding of person-centred care principles
- Current driver's licence suitable for metropolitan community visits
- Familiarity with SA Health clinical systems or a demonstrated ability to learn health record platforms quickly

In this role you will have strong interpersonal and communication skills which will enable you to successfully problem solve, resolve conflicts and negotiate, including the ability to engage in difficult conversations, whilst building and maintaining relationships. An ability to effectively manage multiple, diverse and competing priorities and demonstrated resilience within a stressful and complex environment is essential to this role.

The Northern Adelaide Palliative Service (NAPS) aims to provide adults living or receiving care in northern Adelaide with the best quality Palliative Care, regardless of disease, age and location. We aim to provide relief from suffering and promote comfort for people diagnosed with an advanced life-limiting illness, where a cure is no longer possible. Our focus is on maximising living by supporting the physical, psychological, social, spiritual and cultural needs of the patient, and their family and friends.
Our Local Health Network Sites and Services:
NALHN provides a range of hospital (inpatient), outpatient, community and home-based services across multiple sites in Adelaide’s north and north-eastern suburbs, including Aboriginal health, mental health, and GP services.
Lyell McEwin Hospital – the major hospital in northern Adelaide for emergency care, complex and multi-day surgery, medicine, obstetric, paediatrics and outpatient services.
Modbury Hospital – a general hospital with emergency care, elective surgery, medicine, outpatient and sub-acute services, rehabilitation, geriatric and palliative care.
Mental Health Services – adult and older persons mental health services and statewide forensic mental health services, across hospital and community settings.
Watto Purrunna Aboriginal Primary Health Care Services – provides culturally responsive primary healthcare services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in-hospital and across four community sites.
Primary Health Care Services – including GP Plus sites at Elizabeth, Modbury and Gilles Plains.
