Join the experienced team at Combined Saw & Knife as an Apprentice Saw Doctor in our Deception Bay, QLD location. This full-time role will see you learn the skills required to become a qualified Saw Doctor, maintaining and repairing a variety of industrial saws for our customers.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting experienced Saw Doctors with the maintenance, repair and sharpening of a range of industrial saws
- Developing technical skills to diagnose and fix saw issues
- Handling and operating a variety of machinery and tools used in saw repair
- Ensuring work is completed to a high standard and in a timely manner
- Maintaining a clean and organised workshop environment
- Liaising with customers to understand their saw requirements
What we're looking for
- Good mechanical aptitude and a keen interest in repairing and maintaining machinery
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual with a positive, can-do attitude
