About the Role:
As the WHS Victorian Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our people, suppliers, and customers. You’ll apply your WHS expertise and food safety knowledge to problem-solve, develop programs, and drive continuous improvement across our Victorian operations. You will also be a key member of the National WHS Committee, shaping safety initiatives across the organization. This will be a part time 3 days per week for 6 months then increasing to Full Time in the role after completing additional 2 days in store. The role will include travel to regional areas of Victoria.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with OHS/WHS policies and government food safety legislation.
- Support online and practical WHS training initiatives,
- Engage with regulatory bodies, including WorkSafe, local councils, and EPA.
- Assist in planning and implementing WHS and Food Safety initiatives.
- Manage supplier contracts for fire equipment, pest control, PPE, chemicals, and waste.
- Lead investigations into workplace incidents and support management in WHS accountability.
- Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, inspections, and audits.
- Train and coach operational managers, site-based WHS teams, and new managers.
- Maintain and report on WHS records, compliance, and work injury statistics.
- Integrate lessons learned into training programs and safety initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Tertiary WHS qualifications (advantageous) or equivalent experience.
- 1–3 years of safety experience.
- Food Safety Supervisor certification and strong HACCP knowledge.
- Knowledge of safety principles, project management, and information technology.
