The CommSec Governance team supports the execution of CommSec's strategy through proactive governance and risk leadership. We partner with the business to deliver high-quality governance outcome s and support executive oversight and decision-making ; drive regulatory and policy change consultation and implementation ; manage the CommSec license; and coordinate responses to Regulatory and Law Enforcement Agency requests.

The CommSec Governance team plays a critical role in helping the business make well-informed decisions ; manage risk within appetite ; identify and respond to emerging risks; and navigate an increasingly complex regulatory environment.
We're looking for someone with strong judgement, curiosity , and the ability to translate strategic governance objectives into practical risk management outcomes . You'll be comfortable navigating ambiguity, identifying emerging risks , and influencing stakeholders to deliver positive customer, risk and business outcomes.
On any given day you will:
Lead governance activities supporting senior executive forums and committees, including development of governance artefacts (including Committee papers) , reporting and insights that support effective decision-making and transparency of risk outcomes.
Partner with the business to manage risks, compliance obligations and operations within risk appetite, which includes supporting L1 Risk control environment activities (e.g. control design and testing; and issue and incident management).
Respond to CommSec Law Enforcement Agency (LEA) requests, including ASIC Notices, Subpoenas, Requests for Information (RFIs).

Strong understanding of governance frameworks, operational risk management , controls, issues and incidents management, and regulatory obligations.
