About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions that power Fleet Space's satellite, cloud, and geospatial platforms. Working with cross-functional engineering teams, you'll build reliable, high-performance systems while contributing to technical leadership and product innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-based applications, APIs, and backend services.
- Build scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions.
- Integrate software with satellite systems, IoT devices, and cloud platforms.
- Collaborate with AI, DevOps, and product teams to deliver new features.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimize system performance.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical planning.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
- Maintain technical documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in backend software development and distributed systems.
- Proficiency in languages such as Python, Go, Java, C++, or Rust.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, REST APIs, microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development practices.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience with satellite, IoT, AI, or geospatial technologies is advantageous.
Pay: From $11,700.00 per month
