About the role
Redcliffe Hospital is seeking casual security officers to join its dynamic, fast-paced team where no two shifts are the same. Your input will truly matter as you will be a valued member of a multidisciplinary team focused on staff safety and positive patient outcomes.
No security experience - No problem. We provide paid, on-the-job training to give you the skills you need. Many of our officers come from non-security backgrounds.
Tired of the 9 to 5 grind? We are a 24/7/365 operation - we never close. About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Provide comprehensive security services that support the safety of patients, visitors, staff, facilities and assets across Redcliffe Hospital.
Respond effectively to emergency situations including personal threats, fire responses and incidents impacting hospital operations and service delivery.
Apply evidence-based conflict management and de-escalation techniques to prevent, manage and resolve challenging situations safely and professionally.
Monitor and operate security systems including CCTV, telecommunications, radio networks and body worn camera equipment in accordance with policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate incident records, reports and observations while contributing to a professional, responsive and customer-focused security service.
