What you'll be doing
Supporting a registered nurse in the provision of person and family centred, quality, safe patient care specified by the standards of practice and registration from the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA). This care will be evidenced by educational preparation, adhering to relevant legislation and context of care.
What we're looking for
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
Contemporary clinical knowledge and Mental Health experience or a passion to learn and work with Mental Health patient groups.
Willing to take instructions and guidance from other team members and a willingness to help and support others to contribute to the successful functioning of the team.
Consistent delivery of a high level of services to patients, parents, caregivers and families, demonstrating rapport building skills, listening skills and empathy.
Ability to coordinate and deliver quality nursing care, whilst working within a risk management framework and in accordance with professional standards.
Honesty, integrity and respect for all patients, carers and staff.
High level of communication skills and ability to escalate issues to a Registered Nurse.

Mandatory Requirements
Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
