We are looking for an experienced Workshop Store person to join our team on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday.
You will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of our workshop store, ensuring exceptional service to our clients and supporting our technicians. As you build experience in the workshop and complete your training, you’ll have the opportunity to head out on-site to assist with gas detector calibrations, height safety equipment inspections and Breathing Apparatus servicing — building real hands-on skills in specialised safety equipment servicing once you’ve gained solid experience in the workshop.
What You will Be DoingIn the Workshop
- Loading and unloading trucks and trailers
- Receiving freight, and packing and receiving orders
- Packing jobs for technicians
- Organising stock and keeping the workshop clean and tidy
- Travelling to and from sites to deliver or collect items in a company vehicle
- Assisting technicians as required
- Working safely at all times
Once Trained and Experienced in the Workshop
- Assisting with gas detector calibrations
- Assisting with height safety and fall arrest equipment inspections
- Assisting with Breathing Apparatus servicing
- Assisting other technicians with projects
- Representing Systag Pty Ltd professionally at customer sites
What We are Looking ForEssential
- Current driver’s licence
- Current forklift licence
- Australian citizen with the ability to obtain a Federal Police clearance essential
- Comfortable working within a team environment
- Be able to follow detailed work instruction and procedures without compromise
- Experience with freight, packing, and receiving orders
- Physically fit, with no lifting restrictions
- Well organised, with pride in keeping a spotlessly clean workspace
- Willing to learn more about the business
- Willing to undergo workshop training first, with a view to progressing into on-site technical work once experienced
Desirable (training provided)
- Experience with gas detectors, breathing apparatus, or height safety equipment
- Working at Heights certification
