About the Role
Are you an organised administrator who thrives in a fast-paced environment? We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Administration Officer – Logistics to join our Burnie team on a 7-month maternity leave contract, with the possibility of extension.
In this varied role, you'll provide administrative, payroll, accounts payable and customer service support while helping to keep freight operations running smoothly. You'll work closely with customers, drivers, subcontractors and depot teams to ensure accurate documentation, effective communication and efficient day-to-day operations.
- Process freight documentation, including manifests, consignment notes, run sheets and delivery paperwork.
- Support payroll, accounts payable and timesheet processing.
- Maintain accurate records and compliance documentation.
- Provide administrative support across transport, warehouse and fleet operations.
- Assist with pallet control, inventory updates and stock verification.
- Respond to customer enquiries and provide service updates.
- Liaise with drivers, subcontractors, customers and internal teams to support daily operations.
- Previous administration experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- High attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Reliable, proactive and a team player.
- Experience in transport, logistics, warehousing or freight.
- Experience with logistics or ERP systems such as D365, CBS, Tollworks or similar.
- Understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and workplace safety requirements.
- Year 12 qualification or equivalent (preferred).
- Relevant industry experience.
