Junior Site Manager / Site Supervisor – Residential Construction
We are looking for a Junior Site Manager / Site Supervisor with a carpentry background to support residential building projects across Melbourne.
This role is suited to someone who has real site experience and wants to develop into a Project Manager over time.
You do not need to be an experienced PM now. But you must be practical, reliable, organised, and willing to learn how to manage trades, programme, quality and site coordination properly.
About the role
You will work closely with the Project Manager and Director across custom homes and residential projects.
Your main duties will include:
- Attend sites as required
- Check trade attendance, progress and site readiness
- Follow up trades and suppliers when needed
- Check material deliveries, quantities and damage
- Take clear site photos and prepare daily site reports
- Complete site checklists at key stages
- Identify site issues and report them early
- Help maintain site cleanliness, access, protection and lock-up
- Support minor site follow-up where required
Important
This is a junior site management role, not a fully independent Project Manager role.
You will be trained and supported, but you must have the motivation to grow into a Project Manager position.
Required
- Carpentry background
- Residential construction experience
- Ability to read plans
- Good communication with trades
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable, organised and willing to learn
- Driver’s licence and own transport
Preferred
- Experience in custom homes or townhouse projects
- Hands-on problem-solving ability
- Basic computer / phone reporting skills
