Boeing Defence Australia's Sustainment Operations Business is looking for a Supply Chain Specialist to join the C-17 Sustainment Program Logistics Management Unit (LMU). The LMU provides sustainment services to the Royal Australian Air Force's C-17A fleet of aircraft based at Amberley.
The opportunity
The LMU integrates with a team of Asset Management Specialists, Technical Assessors and Engineers, both contract and government employees, to provide life-cycle management of the Australian C-17A platform. The successful candidate will provide all the logistical support for the Off-Aircraft Maintenance teams.
Responsibilities
The Supply Chain Specialist will be required to support the Off-Aircraft Maintenance team, conduct inventory assessments, review stock levels and reorder, stocktaking, shelf life management and disposals as well as any other logistics tasks . The role ideally suits a proactive person who communicates well, can find solutions and provide continuous improvement and consistent support to maintenance staff.
Experience/Qualifications
- Previous experience in Integrated Logistics Support concepts and methodologies.
- Experience within Defence or commercial Inventory Management System
- Competent in the use of MS Office computer software.
- High level communication and negotiation skills that facilitate open and effective communications between key stake holders.
- Applicants must be an Australian citizen to meet Defence security requirement
Highly desirable
- Australian Government Security clearance
- Experience working within an aviation or Defence environment.
- SAP Hana S4 knowledge, skills & experience.
