The Role
The Parking Compliance Officer is responsible for undertaking parking enforcement duties across the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters. This involves:
- actively patrolling the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters streets on a daily basis to monitor parking compliance
- issuing infringement notices to vehicles that don’t comply with parking conditions
- interacting with the public to address parking-related queries and concerns
- assisting the team with other compliance and animal management duties as required
About You
To be successful in this position you will take an educative approach to parking enforcement, will be comfortable engaging with members of the public while undertaking your duties and possess the following:
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify any parking non-compliance
- Proficient with Windows software, Microsoft Office applications and other business systems
- Previous experience dealing with Parking Enforcement and Regulatory Services (desirable)
- Working knowledge and understanding of parking management, animal management and regulatory services (desirable)
Job Requirements
- Current drivers licence
- National police clearance with no adverse findings
- DHS Working With Children Clearance
- This position is required to work outside of normal working hours and on weekends on a rostered basis.
