Female Disability Support Worker | Annandale
Personal Care & Community Access | Regular Shifts | Additional hours available
True Direction Supports is looking for a small team of mature, reliable female support workers for a 58-year-old man living in Annandale.
He has experienced a stroke affecting his left side but is fully cognitively aware, independent-minded and extremely motivated with his rehabilitation.
We’re looking for someone who understands the difference between supporting independence and taking over.
The role includes
Showering, dressing and personal care
Mobility assistance when required
Driving to the gym and supporting his prescribed rehabilitation exercises
Transport and support at appointments
Community access, outings and activities
Encouraging independence and an active lifestyle
Good conversation and companionship
We’re looking for someone mature, warm and dependable who is comfortable with personal care and genuinely enjoys working one-on-one with people.
Experience with stroke, acquired brain injury, physical disability or rehabilitation is highly regarded.
Applicants living around Annandale or the Inner West are preferred.
Relevant NDIS worker requirements/checks and a current driver’s licence are required.
Additional regular and casual hours may also be available with other TDS participants for the right person.
