CHEF WANTED – SUBIACO | NOOK & CO. CAFE
Nook & Co. Cafe is opening a new location in Subiaco around mid-September, and we’re looking for experienced and reliable Chefs to join our new kitchen team.
About the Role
You’ll be working in a fast-paced café kitchen with a focus on breakfast, brunch, sandwiches and modern café dishes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Breakfast and brunch service
- Preparing sandwiches and café dishes
- Daily food preparation and mise en place
- Maintaining food quality, consistency and presentation
- Following recipes, prep charts and kitchen SOPs
- Stock rotation and correct food storage
- Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- Working efficiently with the kitchen and front-of-house team
What We’re Looking For
- Previous Chef experience in a busy café or similar environment
- Breakfast and brunch experience preferred
- Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods
- Good organisation and time-management skills
- Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene
- Reliable and punctual
- Positive attitude and good teamwork
- Weekday and weekend availability preferred
Important – Interview & Training Location
Interviews and initial training will be conducted at our Wangara branch.
Our Subiaco branch is expected to be ready around mid-September. Successful applicants will train with our existing team in Wangara before transitioning to the new Subiaco location once it is ready.
This gives you the opportunity to learn our menu, kitchen systems, recipes and service standards before joining the Subiaco opening team.
