About the role
Club Northern Beaches Mackay is seeking an experienced Chef to join their dynamic team. This is a full-time position based in Mackay, QLD, 4740. As the Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals for our club members and guests, ensuring an exceptional dining experience.
What you'll be doing
- Plan, prepare and cook a variety of dishes for our restaurant and catering operations
- Manage kitchen operations, including inventory, odering and quality control
- Supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation
- Ensure compliance with all food safety and health regulations
- Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings
- Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a chef, preferably in a similar hospitality or catering environment
- Stron culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques
- Must have Cert IV in commercial cookery
- 2years similar role
- Food safety and handling certificate
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work well in a team and lead kitchen staff
- Passion for creating delicious, high quality meals
