Waitstaff/Host – Bancho Bar, Haymarket
Bancho Bar is a cocktail and whisky bar in the heart of Haymarket’s Chinatown, known for our premium spirits from around the world and one of Sydney’s largest selections of Japanese whisky.
We’re looking for motivated, guest-focused waitstaff to join our team. If you’re passionate about hospitality, eager to learn, and thrive in a busy, vibrant bar, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll do:
- Welcome and seat guests on arrival
- Manage bookings and handle adjustments throughout service
- Take orders and process payments
- Run food and drinks to tables
- Reset and prepare tables quickly and efficiently
- Assist with opening and closing procedures on the floor
What we need from you:
- Current RSA
- Friday & Saturday evening availability (essential)
- Confidence carrying trays and serving drinks
- Strong knowledge of alcoholic beverages
- Ability to engage with guests and upsell
You’ll be a great fit if you have:
- 2+ years’ experience in a fast-paced bar or restaurant
- Initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to think ahead
- Strong multi-tasking skills
- Reliability and a positive, team-oriented attitude
Job details:
- Part-time role
- Pay starting from $25.85 per hour
- Evening shifts: 5pm/6pm – 11pm/12am/1am
- Shifts available immediately
