Reporting to the Health Information Services Manager and working within a supportive team environment, this position will play a pivotal role in undertaking accurate, comprehensive, and timely clinical coding for the Hospital.

Your Key Skills and Experience

Possess a recognised clinical coding qualification – HIMAA, tertiary HIM qualification, or equivalent

Recent experience in clinical coding or new graduates welcome to apply

Have knowledge of Australian Revised Diagnostic Related Groups (AR-DRG) and private health funding models

Demonstrate sound understanding of anatomy, physiology, diseases and pathological processes

Seek to continuously develop knowledge and improve Clinical Coding practice

Demonstrate ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment

Sound knowledge and understanding of health fund contracts.
