VTG Waste & Recycling is seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our team as Trainee Waste Truck Operators. No previous waste industry experience is required—we’ll provide the training, mentoring and support you need to build a long-term career.
About the Role
Working alongside experienced operators, you will learn how to safely operate waste collection vehicles while delivering outstanding service to our commercial, industrial and municipal customers across the Northern Territory.
Training will include:
- Safe operation of waste collection vehicles
- Daily vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Safe loading and unloading practices
- Route planning and customer service
- WHS and environmental compliance
- Use of company technology and operating systems
- As your skills develop, you’ll progress towards operating vehicles independently.
About You
We’re looking for people who:
- Hold a current Australian driver’s licence
- Are reliable, punctual and eager to learn
- Enjoy working outdoors and being physically active
- Have excellent communication and customer service skills
