The opportunity:
Reporting to the Planning Manager, you'll take ownership of merchandise planning across your categories, ensuring inventory investment, forecasting and trading performance are aligned to business objectives.
Working closely with Buying, Retail, Finance and Ecommerce, you'll influence key commercial decisions through insightful analysis, strategic forecasting and proactive inventory management.
This is a role where your recommendations genuinely matter.
You'll have the autonomy to identify opportunities, challenge performance and help shape the trading direction of the business.
What you'll be doing:
- Develop merchandise financial plans and forecasts
- Manage Open-to-Buy and stock investment
- Drive sales, margin and inventory performance
- Analyse weekly trading and recommend actions
- Partner with Buying on range strategies
- Optimise inventory and stock flow
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities
- Support markdown and promotional planning
- Collaborate across Buying, Finance and Retail
- Mentor and support a Merchandise Allocator
About you:
You'll already be working within Merchandise Planning and enjoy making commercial decisions backed by data.
You'll bring
✔ Merchandise Planning experience
✔ Strong forecasting and inventory management capability
✔ Open-to-Buy planning experience
✔ Advanced Excel skills
✔ Strong commercial acumen
✔ Excellent stakeholder management skills
You're naturally curious, commercially minded and confident presenting recommendations that influence business performance.
